Piping Designer

Committed to delivering innovative engineering solutions with global quality standards, we are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our Piping Engineering Department at our Head Office in Gurgaon.

This role is central to preparing detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings for various EPC projects. Key responsibilities include the preparation of General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, piping layouts, and piping isometric drawings using AutoCAD. The designer will develop these drawings based on P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping specifications, also generating fabrication and erection drawings for piping systems, along with piping support details and Material Take-Off (MTO) from drawings. Ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and engineering practices is paramount.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in engineering coordination, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including Process, Mechanical, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation. This involves active participation in model review meetings to incorporate engineering comments, effectively resolving drawing-related queries throughout both engineering and construction stages, and ensuring the timely delivery of all piping design deliverables.

To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting and possess 5 – 10 years of experience as a Piping Designer. This experience should ideally be gained in EPC/EPCM or industrial projects, with a strong preference for experience in Fertilizer, Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Process Plant projects. AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory, as is strong knowledge of Piping Isometric Drawings. A good understanding of P&IDs, piping layouts, piping supports, industrial plant layouts, ASME piping standards, and piping components is essential, coupled with excellent communication and coordination skills.
